Let Him Grow You

It was not easy finding a title for this blog post, in trying to perfect it,
I felt in my heart that it was important to leave the title as it was. Let Him Grow You.

Hello friends,

Sometimes it may feel as if we have to do everything around us, sounds like we have to take control over every little detail in and around our lives. I have personally been at that stage where I just wanted to do everything. Usually by doing so, we end up depleting our energy and using our resources on what we were not meant to do and this may lead us into frustration and energy depletion.

We all are fellow servants of Christ in His Kingdom,

1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:5-8‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? Just servants through whom you believed [in Christ], even as the Lord appointed to each his task. I planted, Apollos watered, but God [all the while] was causing the growth. So neither is the one who plants nor the one who waters anything, but [only] God who causes the growth. He who plants and he who waters are one [in importance and esteem, working toward the same purpose]; but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.”

each one is assigned a specific task, take it as your own hands trying to do only what your legs could do or vice versa, or perhaps, your ears trying to take up your eyes’ function, it is not going to work, right?

Somehow, this is how we are currently operating in God’s Kingdom, bringing our personal issues in the matters of the Father. One is not supposed to do everything, we all have been given specific assignments according to His purpose like in our Scripture, Paul planted and Apollos watered and our glorious God grows.

You may be an ambitious and energetic young leader in your church, ministry or community with big ideas, and it is important to understand your role, task, gifts and ability given by God and avoid trying to do everything by yourself for reasons such as jealousy, envy, discontentment towards others or the desires to be seen.

By remaining in our lanes, we allow others to grow in their calling, we make room for God to work through us and we take the gospel higher and far. It is important to always remind ourselves that we were created with a purpose for a purpose, that is to serve and each one is called to serve differently, in trying to do everything around us, we narrow our ability to better ourselves in our calling and we create room for jealousy, discontentment and envy towards others who are focused on their calling, we therefore, limit the flow of the Holy Spirit to work through us.

Philippians‬ ‭2:13‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure.”

‭‭

I believe that we need to let God grow within us what He longs to see. We are God’s field, God’s building and only He knows what is best for us, as the Master of our lives He knows what type of fruits He would want to see grow out of His field, only He knows what type of gifts, personalities He longs to see out of His building (house).

Therefore, let us ask God to help us understand our role in His Kingdom and let us ask Him to grow us in what He desires for us. Let us advance His Kingdom by knowing our stands and not competing with each other and be grateful to have been chosen by God.

If we desire to see God’s Kingdom advance, we have to stop competing with others, being jealous towards others, and envy others. Paul planted, Apollos watered and God makes it grow.

What is it that God is calling you to do today? But you are busy focusing on the calling of your neighbour. Greater heights await for your commitment to your calling, don’t forfeit that for personal gain.

Be blessed friends!
